January 2, 2022 Update
Family and friends—
Thank you all for the love and support we have received throughout our engagement. It has been a long two years for everyone. With some regret in our hearts, we are announcing that we are not having/planning a wedding for the time being. There’s been so many factors to consider with the pandemic looming over our minds and hearts. We always wanted to celebrate with you all, but there has been too many things outside of our control.
We hope you all understand that with so much uncertainty, the two of us were legally married on March 16, 2021–our tenth anniversary. Our simple courthouse matrimony was never to replace the celebration we wanted with all of you; but in these past two years, we have grown as people and as a couple. We are in a new place. Despite what we may have wanted at the end of 2019, we still have each other, our health, and the support from each of our beautiful families.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for sticking with us on this crazy ride. We will celebrate with each of you in different ways in the coming years, but maybe not as originally expected.

On March 16, 2021, the two of us went to the Monroe County (Bloomington, IN) courthouse to make it official. The “ceremony” was quick and simple, accompanied by excited public servants that do not often see happy couples get married. (The office also serves as a child support collection site!)
After receiving our marriage certificate, we went and celebrated over a wonderful meal and champagne. Nevermind that it was a typical Tuesday morning for everyone else! We then returned home to be with Frankie and Maya. It was a simple day, but perfect to us.

Hi everyone! Due to the continued uncertainty of COVID-19 and its impact on our guests, we have decided to postpone the wedding until April 16, 2022.

Hi everyone! Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 and its impact on our guests, we have decided to postpone the wedding until April 3, 2021.
We will continue to update our website with new information such as reservation details and our registry.
We have also made a facebook page. If you're on facebook, you should have received an invite link for the event. We will update that page with updates as they come. Please stay tuned!

About Us
Rachel and Adam never really met; they grew up together, attending the same schools throughout their lives. In Spring of their grade-eight year, the two started a budding text romance that led to Adam asking Rachel to be his girlfriend on March 16, 2011. Of course Rachel said yes to the boy that she had been crushing on!
Adam and Rachel have grown together through their nine years as a couple. They began as giddy teenagers and grew into adults, grounded in each other.
Now, Adam and Rachel are excited to live their life as husband and wife. Adam will continue his work at Synopsys, a software security firm; as Rachel starts full time upon graduating from her Masters in social work.
Together, they are raising their two-year-old cat, Maya, who continually keeps them aware of her presence through adorable screaming. They also just adopted a four-month-old kitten, Frankie, who contually keeps Maya aware of his presence through tackling, chirping, and chomping.
